What do you make of Nikki Haley staying in the Republican primary race? She said this week that she isn’t going to ‘kiss the ring’, yet. This week we were joined by Dave Weigel who has been covering the republican presidential primary for Semafor. Instead of bowing out, Haley has rebooted her campaign but is likely to lose on Saturday in the South Carolina presidential primary. Haley had previously been the Governor of South Carolina for 6 years.
According to Weigel, it seems possible that Haley’s run for the nomination might continue past Saturday. Haley seems to have the money, and maybe 30% of Republican voters backing her campaign, which could allow her to hang out throughout the primary. If Trump does get taken down, somehow, by his criminal and civil litigation, could Haley be waiting in the wings to snatch it up?
