Last week Hillary Clinton came out of hiding to say she thinks young people are misinformed by propaganda and not well-informed about the war in Gaza.
“I have had many conversations with a lot of young people over the last many months,” said Clinton on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, “they don’t know very much at all about the history of the Middle East or frankly about history in many areas of the world, including in our own country.”
This is one of a handful of times the former Secretary of State has taken to the press to declare that young people and pro-Palestine demonstraters have “no idea” what they stand for. Clinton, who is a professor of public affairs at Columbia University, must have been annoyed with her day being disrupted, and took to the airwaves to call her student ignorant -- pretty rich coming from their professor.
“Propaganda is not education,” said Clinton, claiming that students' positions on issues came from “willfully false… incredibly slanted, pro-Hamas, anti-Israel” propaganda sources.
Sen. Chris Van Hollen was one to fire back, say that Hillary Clinton’s comments about young pro-Palestinian protesters were “quite dismissive.” Um, yeah.
