5:25Now PlayingWhy has the death toll in Gaza been nearly the same for months when the bombing hasn’t abated? Well thanks to a leading medical journal, we now know the number dead in Palestine may be a wild undercount. So are Zionists going to call them “Hamas”?
According to the Lancet, the true death count in Gaza may be more than 186,000 people, rather than the near 40,000 the Gaza Health Ministry reports. This undercounting is not suspicious but rather its a result of the absolutely brutal siege on Gaza. Researchers note that the Health Ministry’s count would struggle to account for the thousands buried under rubble and indirect deaths due to crumbling infrastructure.
Israel and media outlets have wrung their hands over the accuracy of the death toll before, essentially accusing the Gaza Health Ministry of inflating the numbers by not discriminating against those who are militants versus civilians. But they have also equated civilians and militants time and again through their statements as well as their AI-driven killing algorithms. And now with the new numbers, we know that even if ALL of the Hamas fighters were killed (estimated 30,000), it is a far cry from the 186,000 killed. The wartime math does not add up, unless Israel’s goal is genocide.
If the Lancet numbers are correct, that would mean that nearly 8% of the population of the Gaza Strip has been killed by Israel. How can the United States continue to pretend this is not a genocide?
