13:41Now PlayingJust how bad was the Biden V Trump debate? FOLKS! It’s hard to know how it could’ve been worse. After agreeing to debate one another, despite some skepticism from both candidates, Trump and Biden finally met for their first debate of the 2024 election almost five months from election day. Most people’s expectations of Biden were low to begin with: simply speaking full sentences and standing up for an hour and half would have been enough. And yet even this very low bar was entirely missed by the President.
Biden showed up to the debate a meandering mess. He could rarely complete an entire thought, and oftentimes stumbled into giving damaging and bizarre answers to questions that would’ve been straight forward for just about any other possible Democratic nominee.
All that was a massive distraction from Trump who returned to tired anti-immigrant lies, weird racist remarks, and dodging question after question regarding concrete policy on climate change, abortion rights, and a Palestinian state.
Both Biden and Trump are firmly stuck in the past, seemingly in more ways than one. If we want to collectively move forward to something better, neither one of these guys is going to get us there.
