In his Senate confirmation hearings, the roadkill snacker had some wild lines, while trying to appear super normal and not at all anti-vax. During Robert Kennedy Jr.’s questioning on Wednesday, January 29th, the longtime anti-vax conspiracy theorist tried to downplay his attitudes towards vaccines even though Senator Bernie Sanders had pictures of anti-vax baby onesies being sold by an organization that he founded. RFK Jr. 's support of the debunked “vaccines cause autism” conspiracy are well documented at this point.
The roided-out Kennedy also said that Americans don’t deserve healthcare. Bernie Sanders grilled him on whether he believes healthcare is a human right and the response from RFK was the typical classist “personal responsibility” argument we see Republicans deploy against the poor and disabled in our society, over and over again. Why should we pay for some broke guys’ cancer treatment? They should have eaten more organic produce! Funny how you only see that argument presented when it comes to Medicare for All. If that’s how he really feels, then let’s stop paying for president Trump's healthcare. Maybe then he will stop eating so much McDonalds.
