8:18Now PlayingJD Vance is supposed to be the future of the movement — the heir who inherits everything when Trump is done. So why did Trump go on camera and tell the world exactly whose fault it'll be if the Iran gamble fails?
Talking about the Iran peace agreement, Trump said "If it works out, I'm going to take the credit. If it doesn't work out, I'm blaming JD. You better be careful, JD." That's not a boss backing his right-hand man. That's a man choosing whose name goes on the incident report before the accident happens.
Here's the part nobody's saying: Vance built his entire brand as the anti-war guy — no more dumb Middle East wars. Then his administration did exactly that, and he defended it. Meanwhile Marco Rubio, the lifelong hawk, is positioned to collect the credit if it works.
One man is set up to win. The other is set up to hold the bag — and he's the one who's supposed to inherit the throne.
