4:48Now PlayingThe Republican Party has given us a closeup look at how dysfunctional they are through their actions this year (and for decades, but this year was quite a doozy.) In spite of their dysfunction and their attacks on our civil liberties, President Biden is still losing in the polls and his approval rating keeps falling. None of this makes any sense, and Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins tries to explain why this might be happening.

You know, I'm constantly bothered by President Biden's poll numbers 'cause it makes no sense to me. Like when you look at everything that's happening on the Republican side, whether it's at the local level, the state level, the federal level, it's a frigging disaster. These people are proving to us, again, from local to federal and everything in between that they don't know how to govern. They're horrible people doing horrible things and not a single one of those things is benefiting you personally. So the fact that Biden has like this, what is it, like 33% approval rating out this week? These losing to Trump and these head-to-head matchup polls. It doesn't make any sense to me. And that leads me to another question here from our q and a. This one is from our YouTube community member Calvin Smith. 6 6 8, 1 Calvin Smith. 6, 6, 8, 8, 1 asks, the Republicans are self imploding with the impeachment inquiry.
They've done nothing all year. The public hates them. They're persecuting women who did nothing wrong. Their top pick for president is a rapist indicted on several charges and echoing Hitler's talking point. Yet Biden has his head up his and can't beat him. What the heck is going on with the Democrats? Do they just enjoy losing? Now let me correct something, uh, in that question real quick. You, you referred to Donald Trump as a rapist. He has not been convicted of rape. Uh, and therefore you cannot, uh, put that label on him. So he is not a rapist. Uh, he has been accused of sexual assault, but he has never been criminally convicted. So, legally speaking, just to clear the air there, uh, you can't say that. And obviously we cannot call him that either because he is not a convicted of it at all. So, just wanted to get that outta the way, you know, gotta gotta make sure we're all in compliance there.
But you're also right about everything else. By the way, the Republicans have proven this entire year that they've been in control of Congress, that they don't know what the hell they're doing. We've almost had three different government shutdowns narrowly averted at the last minute. We had the speaker drama at the beginning of the year. We had the speaker drama back in October. Uh, they've launched this impeachment inquiry that the public overwhelmingly views as being politically motivated. They have tried repeatedly to have star witnesses take down Biden. It's fallen flat. The economy's doing better jobs. Reports are better than expected. Unemployment is lower than ins than expected. Inflation has gone way down. Gas prices under $3 a gallon. And the public's like, man, Biden sucks. What, what, what, what, what, what are you looking at? I get it. Look, I get it. I get it. 'cause I know the people further left than me are gonna say there millions of people are struggling. I know. I talk about it every day. I get it. I know it, it sucks. I hate it. We're not doing enough for them. Biden's not doing enough for them. But when you look at these average everyday people that are not, you know, struggling as much for them to look at the economy and be like, man, this sucks. Like, no, for you, it does not. For most people in
This country, this economy does not suck. It has gotten better. So that's why the numbers do not make sense to me. I, I I, I fully understand the people. You can't afford your prescription drugs. You can't afford your rent. Yeah, that's a problem. So I get why you are unhappy with this administration.
