As more people become interested in cryptocurrency, we're seeing it appear across a variety of businesses. It's no different in the realm of country music. These artists can participate in crypto in a variety of ways.
Parker McCollum, a country music star, for example, founded an NFT fan group. The Gold Chain Cowboy Black Card Club is the name of the club. By purchasing his NFT (non-fungible token), you can become a part of it.
On MusicFX, a service that aims to use cryptocurrency to link musicians and their followers. Members of this fan club receive exclusive benefits such as access to events and meet and greets, and his followers were quick to sign up. Three days after the membership went on sale, it was completely sold out. McCollum was able to market his music and build a community by creating an NFT.
The Country Music Association also included cryptocurrency in its 55th CMA Awards ceremony. The NFT provided them with unique access to CMA events as well as limited-edition merchandise. Because there were only 1000 of these NFTs available, their value skyrocketed after you purchased them.
The NFTs could be purchased through the music platform called Solo Music, which uses blockchain technology to bring fans and music closer together. The net proceeds went to the CMA Foundation which helps music education in schools.
