According to vocal media, the majority of cryptocurrency investors are young adults, with 31% of adults aged 18-29 investing in cryptocurrencies, the highest number of any age group.
So, what attracts young people to cryptocurrency? Younger generations feel they can plan for the future using cryptocurrencies.
According to a recent Capitalize survey, 56 percent of Gen Z adults and 54 percent of Millennials think cryptocurrencies or NFTs are part of their retirement strategy. Younger folks have a lot more time before they can retire.
When you invest in cryptocurrency for a short period of time, it is quite volatile. However, its value rises quicker in the long run than stocks, government bonds, or other investments where you can keep your retirement assets.
Finally, younger generations have grown up in an internet-based society, providing them with a unique viewpoint on technology. They're more at ease with something that just exists online.
