Surprisingly, it isn't Tiktok, at least not right now. It's from YouTube.
However, according to the Pew Research Center, 67% of teenagers use Tiktok.
That is a massive amount.
However, it pales in comparison to the 95% of teenagers who say they use YouTube. And, while older millennials like me may not consider YouTube to be social media, we should.
It has all of the features, profiles, commenting, subscribing, which is basically following, someone likes, and back by popular demand, Youtube now has a hate button.
While most teenagers preferred different social media platforms based on gender, more females use Tiktok and more boys use Reddit.
However, almost all young people use YouTube.
It's easy to see why YouTube is the most popular if you realize it counts as social media.
Many teachers use YouTube videos as a teaching aid, and you can definitely find practically any type of information from other social media sites.
