9:40Now PlayingIf you're like me, persecution hasn't played a large role in your life, but for many Christians all over the world, persecution is a daily reality. According to Open Doors USA () 11 people are killed each day for their faith in Jesus. While I feel entirely inadequate to talk about persecution given my lack of experience, I felt that this was a conversation that needs to be had. While I thank God, truly, for the religious freedoms we have, they have also allowed us to become comfortable with "casual Christianity" as though following Jesus was an insignificant choice. In reality, the call to follow Jesus is a radical, lifealtering call. Being a Christian means giving our ultimate allegiance to King Jesus and placing Jesus above everything, even our very life.
This video was inspired by my experience reading the book "Safely Home" by Randy Alcorn, and subsequently the documentary "Sheep Among Wolves" which you can watch for free on YouTube. I'm grateful for these resources and the way they have challenged me.
