55:41Now PlayingFamily members who suspect abuse of their loved ones living in assisted-living or memory care facilities would have the ability to remotely monitor the condition of care, under a measure approved by the Senate Wednesday, May 18. The proposal, sponsored by Sen. Alice Johnson, DFL-Blaine, allows residents and families to install so-called “granny cams” in the facilities without the fear of retaliation.
The provision was added as an amendment to HF 3142, the omnibus Department of Health policy bill, and was sent back to the House.
