An update has now come for the same and the Punjab govt has now taken cognizance and has decided to call back those vaccines and the money will be refunded as well. Punjab's Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said that a total of 42000 vaccines were given to private hospitals, which will be recalled. He further added that the CM immediately took cognisance of the incident and the decision was nixed. Akali dal has accused the state government of procuring vaccines at a lower price and selling them to private hospitals at much higher rates.
