The government has told twitter to either comply or face unintended consequences as per Indian penal law. As Twitter refused to resolve the issue on time, the government had issued the last letter when twitter dismayed by twitter’s response on compliance. This came in against the manipulated media tag controversy. However, in addition to the toolkit controversy, Twitter has made any news break by unverifying the Vice President’s Twitter account. Political statements seeking action against Twitter has been pouring in ever since the incidence, among other things.
