Maybe we should remove them from the paper entirely and recycle it. That’s not to say that there aren’t some interesting writers, but for the most part it’s standard centrist fare. Or worse: elite contrarianism.
This past week, as Democrats were still reeling from major electoral losses, veteran NYT op-ed writer Maureen Dowd penned an article entitled “Wokeness Derails the Democrats.” In it, Dowd argued that Democrats have gone too far to one side, and entirely alienated the people they need to vote for them. If you feel like you’ve read this article one hundred times before, it’s because you definitely have.
