The film adaptation of Secret Society has just had its film premiere and we've got the red carpet interview with everything you need to know!
Secret Society, originally based on a novel written by Miasha Coleman, premiered with its star-studded cast and a twist that has EVERYONE buzzing.
Miasha Coleman has been working on creating this movie since 2015, but it wasn’t until 2019 where she made up her mind to get the film produced, and all of the pieces just fell into place.
Reyna Love, playing the role of Celess, says the role was such an honor and is so grateful she was able to step into the character’s shoes and see what these women go through day to day in their life.
Vincent De Paul, playing the role of Derek Rossi, found the script so compelling from the first read and wanted to make sure he was able to participate in a film that captures struggles and celebrations so well.
Erica Pinkett, playing the role of Tina, says the film is about acceptance and that people everywhere should all have more compassion for others and let others just be happy with their lives.
Vivica A. Fox (AKA Vivica Fox), playing the role of Charles’ Mom, says this is the first film she was in after we entered our new normal in 2020. It was when she was told about the role, that Vivica A. Fox remembered about when she knew how Secret Society was just a play. For Vivica A. Fox, it’s been a full circle moment.
Vivica A. Fox says it’s important to lead by example with young filmmakers and to support other actors and filmmakers on their own journeys and she’s so happy to be part of this movie.
