Why are people not returning to the office? Check out the video to learn why!

What is preventing people from returning to work? I'll explain why in three steps.

One: squeezing into a crowded subway vehicle, two: sitting in gridlock for hours, and three: sweating through your shirt on a hot summer day.

That's correct. People are not returning to work because of their commute. An eight-hour weekday can become a ten- or eleven-hour workday due to a long commute.

And, if you have all of the resources you need to complete your job at home, why not make better use of your time? According to a Wall Street Journal study, the areas with the longest commutes have the fewest people returning to work. Office building vacancies have been a problem in New York, Washington, DC, and San Francisco.

Meanwhile, residents in cities like Austin, Texas, and Charlotte, North Carolina, are returning to work because getting to work takes only around 20 minutes every day.

Is this, however, an improvement? The ability to build a better work-life balance for oneself has been given to the new workforce by remote jobs. They have more time to be productive, focus on their families and mental health, and make up for time lost during the pandemic.

According to CNBC, 64 percent of workers stated they would quit their job or hunt for a new one if they were required to return to the workplace full time.

But where do you stand? Are you all about remote work or are you Itching to get back into an office culture? Let us know in the comments below.
