The students who come to ArtLabJ’s dance program come from different communities, schools and neighborhoods, but they learn to trust each other as they practice and perform. Sakara Calhoun-Bey, a student in ArtLabJ, thinks that "if we have a stronger community, Detroit would grow so much. Not only Detroit, but the world. We can grow together if we just communicate."
