0:57Now PlayingMany millennials are going to become wealthy individuals overnight when they inherit their boomer parents' assets. The largest wealth transfer in history is just around the corner. By 2030, Millennials will be five times as wealthy as they are today.
Globally, it's estimated that millennials will get more than $60 trillion in inheritance in the next seven years. Right now, the average baby boomer, or someone born in the 1950s or 60s, is worth 12 times what we're worth (millennials).
And while we definitely don't want to live in a world without our parents, this big wealth transfer will be a nice payday for us, especially since many of us have had a very rocky economic start.
So, things are about to get better for millennials economically, but there's definitely some sadness attached to finally closing the wealth gap between Millennials and Boomers.
