Cable News is in the news as people like Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon are tossed from their anchor chairs. But who's really watching cable news? Not this guy. Tucker Carlson was considered one of the most successful shows in cable news history.

But consider this: even at its peak, the show averaged only 3.2 million viewers, and around half a million among adults aged 25-to-54, AKA us; the coveted demo for TV ratings. Consider there are around 333 million people in America. So do the math:

Not even 1% of Americans tuned into Tucker every night. And for CNN This Morning and Don Lemon, the ratings were way lower than Tucker. On average, they only saw about 360,000 viewers, and 73,000 in that coveted demo.

Now, cable news plays an outsized role in our culture, but given how much content we're consuming right here on Instagram, the content that we're producing might be much more relevant than legacy Cable News.
