Expectations of a good interview predate the Zoom era, are you ready to ace yours?

Bold host Philip Michael sits down with Jordan Stolch, Founder of MiKADO Personal Styling, to talk all about how to succeed in a job interview during the Zoom era. These are tips you do not want to miss!

First and foremost, Stolch says that you must align with expectations. Even though we’ve been working from home for almost a year, the expectation from the employer stays the same. You want to try to recreate what used to happen in person to the best of your abilities. You want the interviewer to see the level of professionalism you’re presenting and associate it with the level of professionalism they would see pre-covid. Test your device ahead of time, and make sure your lighting is good to go. And most importantly, make sure your space you’re presenting is a professional space as opposed to a personal space.

She also says that, if you have any hesitation, it is a good idea to ask the employer about any dress code. Again this goes back to aligning expectations. So if it’s appropriate, totally ask! Also, you can do your research, look at other employees on LinkedIn, etc.
