YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDespite the recent buzz from Gamestop and AMC, trending stocks aren’t anything new for the stock market. That said, is it still worth it to invest?
Bold host, Philip Michael, sits down with Founder & CEO of Matson Money, Mark Matson, to talk about all things investing in 2021. Keep watching to hear updates on where the stock market is now, and what it could be for the rest of the year.
Should we behave any differently towards the stock market in 2021, or are things par for the course? Investors always tend to view the market in a format of speculation and gambling, usually. Right now the landscape shows you big S&P 500 companies that are doing very well, along with other big companies, and this is leading to investors herding up. But this herd mentality isn’t good for the stock market because this is how bubbles occur, and people typically lose a lot of money in the end.
What advice does Matson say for this? Stay disciplined with your investing, and don’t worry about chasing trending stocks. For instance, in 2000, tech stocks lost over 75% of their value overnight when the dot com bubble burst. This isn’t something that the market is ever immune from going forward.
