Usually the euro is a lot more valuable than the dollar.
What is happening?
Even while you might think the economy is horrible in America, it's far worse elsewhere, notably in Europe.
Because of Europe's decision to stop using Russian gas as retaliation for Putin's invasion of Ukraine, the dollar is currently quite strong. This is because Europe is experiencing a severe energy crisis. And this is hurting the euro by making their slow economic recovery even worse.
A continuous issue for the euro and the European Union is the use of one currency by France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, and many more nations. Even if America has a ludicrous party divide, one government is still simpler to run than 27 governments trying to decide what's best for everyone.
Because of this, the dollar is quite powerful. People bet that America will have a brighter economic future, at least for now.
