Last week at a talk, the former Secretary of State slammed pro-Palestine activists for demanding a humanitarian ceasefire amid the Israeli military's ongoing bombing of Gaza. "People who are calling for a ceasefire now, don’t understand Hamas," Clinton said."That is not possible." She went on to say that demanding a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas would be a "gift" for the terrorist government, meaning Hamas, not Israel.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry says more than 9,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war, mostly women and minors. Israel continues to pummel civilians in Gaza mercilessly in order to ‘eradicate’ Hamas.
Clinton's comments come as other pundits and politicians continue to try and paint Hamas ‘terrorists’ as equivalent to ISIS fighters. Even Israeli leaders like Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have tried to push the hashtag “#HamasisISIS.” Unlike ISIS, Hamas has existed for decades and has been built up by Netanyahu as an attempt to destroy Palestinian resistance from the inside-out.
This isn’t the first time Hillary has refused to read the room and it won’t be the last.
