The White House is eager to show progress on the agenda. With the release of the new framework, Democrats plan to spend $1.75 trillion on social spending and climate change.
Biden’s plan sets aside the $320 billion over the next 10 years for clean energy tax credits and making renewable energy the foundation for future talks.
The funding for the plan would come from billionaires’ wallets. The package would focus on those who are seeing a significant wealth increase and with minimal taxable income. It would include a 15% minimum tax on successful businesses and US’ companies foreign income. With the upcoming talks, the Senate can’t afford to lose any votes.
